Online RN to MSN Degree Programs
You’ve accomplished your career goals of achieving your Registered Nurse (RN) license and your Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
The next step in your career is to consider a Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN). The good news is, with a multitude of online RN to MSN programs, you’ll be able to achieve your next goal without interrupting your work schedule.
Why Earn a Master’s Degree in Nursing?
Registered Nurses quickly learn the value of a Master’s of Science in Nursing. Nurses with a Master’s degree qualify for top-notch positions in hospitals and other medical facilities, often being termed Advanced Practice Nurses (APN, or APRN). This allows nurses to head up teams of other nurses or specialize in an area where nurses are high-paid and highly respected.
Another reason to pursue an MSN is if you have aspirations of teaching. Like every other nursing field, nursing instructors are in high demand right now, especially those with master’s degrees. By accepting a teaching position, you’ll be instructing the next generation of RNs and LPNs, helping hospitals prepare for an increasing population of baby boomer seniors.
