Online Bachelor’s Degrees in Nursing

The online Bachelors Degree in Nursing program (BSN) at the University of Cincinnati is available to registered nurses holding a diploma or an associate’s degree.  The course curriculum includes classes in Genetics, Gerontology, Community Nursing, and Leadership and Management in Nursing.   Credit for previous coursework may be awarded upon on in-depth evaluation with an advisor.

Duration and Cost

The program can be completed in one to two years depending on if students choose the full or part time option.  Tuition is $293 to $693 per credit hour for part -time study, and $3473 to $8314 per term for full-time study.

Online Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN)

Online Masters of Science degrees in Nursing at the University of Cincinnati are designed for the working nurse and offer a wide range of support for nurses through professors, program and enrollment advisors, and facilitators among other staff.  The course utilizes the Blackboard learning system for delivery of online courses.  Master’s degree program specializations available online include:

Duration and Cost

The master’s program can be completed in as little as 2 years with full-time study or longer with part-time study, though the program must be completed within 5 years. Course tuition is $457 to $828 per credit and $4,567 to $8,275 per term for part-time and full-time study respectively.

Faculty

Most faculty at the University of Cincinnati hold advanced degrees in nursing including nursing PhD and Masters degrees.

Things to consider:

  • An in-person clinical requirement is necessary for the RN to BSN degree option.
  • Some nursing programs require previous experience in an area of study or a minimum amount of time in practice.
  • Several MSN courses require certification upon completion in order to be able to practice.
  • Distance learning students are not eligible for scholarships.
