RN Programs in Mississippi

RN programs that lead to an AD have different admission requirements. Some schools require only that the applicant has graduated from high school or has a GED. Other programs are much more strict and want SAT and ACT scores that are satisfactory, and they may want only students who graduated in the top half of their graduating class. They may also require a minimum GPA for high school classes.

On the other end of the spectrum, some of the following community colleges admit anyone in the state who applies for admission. In this case, the student may be on probationary terms if their high school GPA was low.

One feature of AD programs is that many of them have an exit program after the first year of the RN is completed. This level leads to a Practical Nurse Degree. If the students continues and finishes their second year of college, they qualify for an Associate’s Degree.
