RN Programs in Maryland
RN programs have greatly different admission requirements. Community colleges and two-year programs are often not as restrictive in accepting students for admission. If an applicant is a high school graduate or has a GED, they will generally accept the student into the college. If the person’s high school grades were below 2.50, they often accept the student under the condition that he or she will pass the first quarter or first semester with a 2.0 GPA.
RN programs usually require that students are first accepted into the college, and then if they pass the first semester or first year of studies they are may apply for admission to the nursing program.
