Oklahoma Wesleyan University

Oklahoma Wesleyan University has been fully-accredited as a degree granting four-year institution since 1974.  The college founded in 1959, was the result of the merger of three Wesleyan institutions and became Bartlesville Wesleyan College and moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 1959.  The school now offers a wide variety of degree programs from associate’s to doctoral level, both campus-based and online.

The online Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Program is for nurses who desire to take the next step in their career and knowledge of the nursing profession.  Nurses can continue to work full-time while completing the program online and courses are taken one subject at a time to allow complete focus on one course. Courses for the bachelor’s degree program include an introductory course in taking classes online, Computers in Nursing, Intercultural Nursing, Leadership and Management in Nursing and Nursing Research.

Duration and Cost

To earn a bachelor’s degree, students must earn 126 credits total, with 42 credits if core coursework.  Tuition is $388 per credit, and the number of credits taken will depend on the number of credits transferred in. Tuition costs begin at approximately $25,600 with the minimum 60 credits transferred in.

Online Master’s Degree in Nursing

Though it’s in the school of management and not nursing, the Master’s of Business Administration Degree in Nursing Management is ideal for nurses seeking leadership roles in health care institutions. This emerging approach in cross-disciplinary education is designed so that nurses may function in leadership in a variety of settings.  Students in the master’s degree program will take courses in healthcare economics, quantitative analysis, and strategic marketing management with advanced nursing courses such as Healthcare Systems and Health Informatics and Evidence-Based Practice.

Duration and Cost

Tuition for the master’s program is $465 per credit hour and 36-38 credit hours for completion.
