The Bloomfield College Foundation offers the Walter and Louise Sutcliffe Scholarship to provide financial support to nursing students.  It was established in 1994 by the Walter and Louise Sutcliffe Foundation.

Founded in 1868, Bloomfield College prepares students for academic, personal and professional success in a multicultural, global society.  The eligible student must be a junior or senior enrolled at Bloomfield College’s Frances M. McLaughlin Division of Nursing, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Selection is based on financial need.

Walter and Marie Schmidt Scholarship

The Oregon Student Access Commission provides numerous scholarship opportunities to students across Oregon.  This particular scholarship is for students who have graduated from a Lane County high school seeking to attend a vocational college, such as for a nursing education.   If a suitable candidate cannot be found another Oregon student may be selected.

This is an undergraduate scholarship available through the United Daughters of the Confederacy.  It is awarded to a female student enrolled in a nursing degree program.

Washington State Health Professional Loan Repayment Program

The loan repayment program is available for nurse midwives who have outstanding loan debts yet to be paid. The recipient must be working in a federal health professional shortage area.

Washington State Health Professionals Scholarship Program

This scholarship is made available to help fill health provider service gaps.  It is available to students seeking education in the nursing field as a licensed nurse, nursing faculty, nurse practitioner or as a midwife.

Watson Nursing Scholarship
The Oregon Student Access Commission (OSAC) offers the Watson Nursing Scholarship to encourage Oregon students to become nurses.  The OSAC was established in 1959 by the Oregon legislature to ensure Oregon students access to postsecondary education. The eligible candidate must be enrolled at an accredited college, university or school of nursing, pursuing an undergraduate or graduate nursing degree.   Preference is given to graduates of Jackson or Josephine high schools and to students attending Oregon Health & Science University.

WestConn at Waterbury Nursing Scholarship
Western Connecticut State University offers the WestConn at Waterbury Nursing Scholarship   to students pursuing careers in nursing.  WestConn at Waterbury is located on the campus of Naugatuck Valley Community College, providing an alternate campus for students to take courses for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.  The eligible candidate must be a student at Naugatuck Valley Community College or enrolled in the nursing program at WestConn at Waterbury.  Selection is based on financial need.

Western Institute of Nursing (WIN) Grant
The Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing offers the Western Institute of Nursing (WIN) Grant to encourage nurses to participate in nursing research.  Funding for this grant is provided by the Western Institute of Nursing and Sigma Theta Tau. The eligible candidate must be a registered nurse with a Master of Science in Nursing degree or enrolled in a doctoral program.  The candidate must also have a research project ready for implementation that can be completed within one year.   The candidate must be a member of the Western Institute of Nursing and Sigma Theta Tau International.

William Boudreau Memorial Scholarship for Licensed Nursing Assistants
The Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC) offers the William Boudreau Memorial Scholarship for Licensed Nursing Assistants to encourage Vermont students to enter the field of nursing.  The VSAC was established in 1965 to help residents of Vermont who want to go to college, by providing loans, grants, scholarships and education planning.  The eligible candidate must be a resident of Orleans County, Vermont who will attend a licensed nursing assistant program in Vermont.    Selection is based on financial need.

Winnie Coxe Scholarship
Lees-McRae College offers the Winnie Coxe Scholarship to provide financial assistance to students enrolled at Lees-McRae.  Founded in 1900 to provide education to students in the Appalachian region, Lees-McRae is a Presbyterian-affiliated college with a long history of providing a liberal arts education that emphasizes service and leadership.   The nursing program includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program on the Maryland Community College Campus in Spruce Pine North Carolina. WOCN Scholarship Programs

The Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society provides two scholarships:

The Accredited Scholarship:

This scholarship is available to students seeking to specialize in wound and ostomy care nursing.  The applicant must provide proof of enrollment in an accredited course.

The Advanced Scholarship:

This scholarship is for a currently licensed RN who is pursuing a masters, doctoral degree or nurse practitioner license.

Workforce Shortage Student Assistance Grant Program

This program is available through the Maryland Higher Education Commission.  These grants are available to high school seniors who plan to attend secondary institutions and pursue a career in nursing, as well as other under serviced professions.
