This is an internal partial scholarship available through Vanderbilt University School of Nursing.  A grade point average of at least 3.0 must be maintained each semester for a scholarship to continue. Students must be enrolled in full time nursing studies at the school.

Laura Catherine Rankin Memorial Scholarship

This is a partial scholarship is available through the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. It was established by family and classmates of Laura.  Students must be enrolled in full time studies at the school of nursing to qualify for these funds.

Laura Jean Armstrong Scholarship

This scholarship, from the Hawaii Community Foundation, is one of over 100 scholarships available through the foundation.  Many of these scholarships can be used towards undergraduate and graduate studies in nursing.

Eligibility for this scholarship includes being a resident of Hawaii and majoring in nursing studies.

Lenore Alberty Memorial Nursing Scholarship

This scholarship, available through the Sinclair School of Nursing, is awarded to an undergraduate nursing student with a GPA of 3.o who might not qualify for other awards requiring GPA’s of 4.0.  A passion and “heart” for nursing must be demonstrated.

Eligibility includes being from a single parent home, in honor of Lenore.

Letha Taylor Nursing Scholarship
The Henry County Community Foundation offers the Letha Taylor Nursing Scholarship to encourage students in Indiana to pursue careers in nursing.  It was established by the family of Letha Taylor to honor her commitment to caring for others.  The eligible candidate must be a senior graduating from New Castle High School.  The candidate must also plan to enroll in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in nursing and demonstrate financial need.

Lettie Pate Whitehead Scholarship Fund

This partial scholarship is available through Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. Funding is supported by the Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation and the scholarship is awarded to a bridge student, preferably from the southern states, entered in to their first year of nursing studies.

Licensed Vocational Nurse Loan Repayment Program
The Health Professions Education Foundation offers the Licensed Vocational Nurse Loan Repayment Program to encourage California students to pursue careers in nursing and to increase the number of Registered Nurses practicing in medically underserved areas of California. The eligible candidate must be a Licensed Vocational Nurse in California, currently working in a Medically Underserved Area, veteran’s facility, prison or Health Professional Shortage Area.  Award recipients must be willing to practice in California after graduation, providing full-time direct patient care in a medically underserved area.

Clemson University offers Lillian Alden Brooks Endowed Nursing Scholarship to encourage students to pursue careers in nursing at the Clemson University Nursing School.  At Clemson University Nursing School, students receive a well-balanced education with an emphasis on caring, scholarship, leadership and community service.  The eligible candidate must be a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior enrolled in the Clemson Nursing School, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  The candidate must have a GPA of at least 2.5.

The Oregon Student Access Commission offers the Lillian McKelvey Memorial Scholarship to graduates of Burns or Crane Union High School who are pursuing careers in nursing.  The eligible candidate must be enrolled at least part-time in the second year at a public or nonprofit college or university, pursuing a degree or certificate in nursing.  The candidate must also be a resident of Grant or Harney County, Oregon.

Carl Albert State College offers the Lt. Glenn and Verna Taylor Memorial scholarship to encourage Oklahoma students to pursue careers in nursing.  It was established by a gift from W. Lucy Chand Nursing Scholarship
Worcester State College offers the Lucy Chand Nursing Scholarship to students studying nursing at Worcester State University.  This scholarship was established by Lucy Chand’s son, Ron Chand , to honor her commitment to family and her illustrious nursing career.  Lucy Chand was born in India and worked for many years as a public health nurse in India before moving to the United States.  The eligible candidate must be a junior or senior in the nursing program at Worcester State University.  The candidate must also have a GPA of at least 3.3 and demonstrate financial need.

Brock University offers the Luigi and Amalia Setacci Bursary to encourage students in the Niagara area to pursue careers in nursing.  It was established in 2006 with a generous donation from Luigi Setacci. Lynda Andrus Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation offers the Lynda Andrus Memorial Scholarship Fund to provide financial assistance to students at Eastern Michigan University.  It was established in 2000 by the family, friends and colleagues of Lynda Andrus.  Lynda Andrus was a student in the nursing program at Eastern Michigan University when she died from cancer.  The eligible candidate must be enrolled in Eastern Michigan University College of Health & Human Services, Department of Nursing.  The candidate must be a non-smoker and must demonstrate financial need.
