The Oncology Nursing Society Foundation offers the Bachelors Scholarship to encourage registered nurses to enter the field of oncology nursing by providing financial support. The eligible candidate must be a registered nurse committed to oncology nursing.

The candidate must be enrolled in an accredited college or university as a sophomore, junior or senior, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with an interest in oncology.  Selection is based on academic performance and financial need.

The BECA Foundation Inc

BECA is a nonprofit organization located in San Diego California which provides scholarship opportunities for the Latino population.  They are for varying amounts of money.  Most of the scholarships require the applicant to already be attending college, or must plan on attending a specific college after completing high school.

Eligibility varies for the different scholarships

Alice Newell Joslyn Medical Fund

This scholarship awards between $500 and $2000 per year.  Applicants must be attending school in the San Diego area, and is meant for those entering a health care study, such as nursing.

Bernice L. Vance Scholarship

Sponsored by the West Virginia Nurses Association this scholarship was created to honor Bernice Vance, a former school nurse and public health practitioner.

Bethesda Lutheran Communities Scholarships

This organization offers $3,000 in scholarship funding for a student training for a career in caring for those with developmental disabilities. There are several career opportunities which would qualify; certainly nursing in this field would be rewarding and in high demand.

Eligibility includes a student with a GPA of 3.0 or higher enrolled in a college or university, and an active member of a Lutheran Church.

Betty Crim Endowed Nursing Scholarship

This scholarship is offered by the Sinclair School of Nursing in honor of Betty Crim, who was once a faculty member at the school.  The scholarship of $1,500 is awarded to a full time undergraduate nursing student

Eligibility includes proof of financial need.  Preference is also given to a student attending college for the first time.

BSN Scholarship
The Association of Rehabilitation Nurses offers the BSN Scholarship to encourage students to pursue careers in nursing.  The eligible candidate must be a member of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses, must be enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at an accredited college or university.  The candidate must be in good standing and must currently work as a rehabilitation nurse with at least 2 years experience.  Selection is based on academic achievement and financial need.

Baccalaureate Nursing Faculty Student Achievement Scholarship
Mesa State College offers the Baccalaureate Nursing Faculty Student Achievement Scholarship to encourage students in Colorado to pursue careers in nursing.  The eligible candidate must be a full or part-time student at Mesa State College Department of Health Sciences, working toward a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.  The eligible candidate must be a senior and must have a GPA of at least 3.0.  Selection is based on academic achievement and financial need.

Bachelor of Science Nursing Scholarship and Loan Repayment Program
The Health Professions Education Foundation offers the Bachelor of Science Nursing Scholarship and Loan Repayment Program to encourage California residents to pursue careers in nursing and to increase the number of registered nurses practicing in medically underserved areas of California. The eligible candidate must be enrolled in or accepted to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.  Award recipients must be willing to practice in California providing full-time direct patient care in a medically underserved area.

Barry and Velma Berkey Scholarship
George Mason University offers the Barry and Velma Berkey Scholarship to encourage visually impaired students to pursue higher education.  The Scholarship was made possible by a generous donation from Dr. Barry and Velma Berkey.  The eligible candidate must be blind or visually impaired, be enrolled as a full-time student at George Mason University.  The candidate must be majoring in nursing, biology, chemistry, computer science, art or visual technology, economics, geography, journalism, music, social work or teaching. The eligible candidate must be a US citizen.

Bay County Medical Society Auxiliary Merit Fund
The Bay Area Community Foundation offers the Bay County Medical Society Auxiliary Merit Fund to encourage students to pursue careers in health-care related fields in order to advance health education in medicine.  The eligible candidate must be a full or part-time student and have been accepted into an accredited program of nursing, physical therapy, graduate medical or other health-care related program.  The candidate must have a GPA of at least 3.0 and live in Bay County.

The Jewish War Veterans of the U.S.A. offers the Bernard Rotburg Memorial Scholarship Fund/Louis S. Silvey Grant/JVW Grant to descendants of members in good standing of the Jewish War Veterans of the United States of America.  The eligible candidate must be a high school senior and have been accepted into an accredited 4-year college or university or a 3-year hospital school of nursing.  The candidate must be in the upper 25% of his or her high school graduating class.

Berry Nursing Scholarship
New Hampshire Charitable Foundation offers the Berry Nursing Scholarship to encourage New Hampshire students to pursue careers in nursing.  The eligible candidate must have enrolled full or part-time in an accredited college or university, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or a Master of Science in Nursing degree.  The candidate must be a resident of Hampshire, and be between the ages of 17 and 23.  Selection is based on financial need.

Bertha P. Singer Nurses Scholarship
The Oregon Student Access Commission offers the Bertha P. Singer Nurses Scholarship to assistant Oregon students who are pursuing nursing careers.   The eligible candidate must be enrolled in the second year of a nursing program at an accredited college or university in the State of Oregon.  The candidate must have a GPA of at least 3.0 and demonstrate financial need.  Selection is based on academic achievement and financial need.

Betty C. Edwards Nursing Scholarship
The Shawnee State University offers the Betty C. Edwards Nursing Scholarship to a Scioto or Adams County resident.  This scholarship was established by the family of Betty C. Edwards to honor her dedication to the field of nursing.  The eligible candidate must be enrolled in the Shawnee State University Department of Nursing, pursing an Associate of Science in Nursing degree or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.  The eligible candidate must be a full-time student and have a GPA of at least 3.0.

Bill and Mary Russell Scholarship
The Heartland Foundation offers the Bill and Mary Russell Scholarship to provide financial assistance to those pursuing careers in nursing or another health care field.  The Heartland Foundation created this scholarship program as a tribute to Bill Russell and the late Mary Russell to recognize their many years of dedication and commitment to support nursing and health care training.  The eligible candidate must be enrolled in a full-time nursing or health care related program and reside within the Heartland Foundation service region.

Bill Purkett Nursing Scholarship
Montana State University — Northern offers the Bill Purkett Nursing Scholarship to encourage Montana students to pursue nursing careers.  The scholarship was established by the family of Bill Purkett.  The eligible candidate must be a sophomore at Montana State University Northern Department of Nursing, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or an Associate of Science in Nursing degree.  The candidate must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and demonstrate financial need.
