Bryan LGH College of Health Sciences, also referred to as Bryan College of Health Sciences, provides undergraduate and graduate degree programs in the healthcare field. The university focuses on providing comprehensive programs available online to its students. Bryan College of Health Sciences is affiliated with Bryan Health Center in Nebraska. Bryan School of Nursing opened in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1926 along with the Bryan Health Center.

A 33 month nursing masters degree program in nurse anesthesia is offered at Bryan College of Health Sciences. The program is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia programs. Students in the CRNA program will complete intensive clinical rotations throughout Nebraska. Clarkson College is a small private college based in Omaha, Nebraska. The college offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in the healthcare field. The school was founded in 1888 by Bishop Richard Clarkson who dreamed of establishing a nursing school in Nebraska.

The RN to MSN program is designed for nurses with an associate degree in nursing or a diploma. The course minimizes the number of courses that would be repeated if an undergraduate and graduate nursing degree were pursued separately. Students in the RN to MSN program have the option of ending their training at the BSN level or pursuing an MSN degree with one of four specializations:

Creighton University is a private Catholic University based in the Nebraska city of Omaha. The university was founded by Jesuits in 1878 as Creighton College. The university offers more than 70 undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

Application requirements for the RN to MSN program include a BSN and prerequisite courses in statistics and physical assessment. In addition, all nursing students should have at least 2,000 hours of nursing experience. Pediatric and Neonatal MSN students must have 2,000 hours of experience in specific health settings outlined by the university.

Nebraska Methodist College of Nursing and Allied Health, more commonly known as Methodist College was founded in 1891. The private college is based in Nebraska and focuses on Nursing and related healthcare programs.

Nebraska Methodist College designed their MSN programs to be suitable for working nurses who need a flexible nursing masters program that they can attend around their schedule. The college offers online nursing masters program with a variety of specialization options.

The RN to MSN program offers both a Nurse Executive and Nurse Educator track. Admission requirements include graduation from a NLNAC or CCNE accredited nursing program with a 3.0 or higher GPA. Students should have a valid nursing license. Out of state applicants may need to meet additional requirements. Both RN to MSN masters programs can be completed in 3 years and are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

A traditional MSN course is also offered with an Executive or Educator focus. Both masters in nursing programs are accredited by CCNE and can be completed in approximately 2 years. To apply to the program, applicants should be a licensed RN with a BSN from a National League for Nursing or CCNE accredited program. The undergraduate GPA should be 3.0 or higher.

Students who do not meet the GPA requirement may be considered for admission to the RN to MSN and traditional nursing masters program on a case-by-case basis.

Nebraska Wesleyan University was founded in 1887. The church has an affiliation with the United Methodist Church as it was founded in the Christian tradition. The Master of Science in nursing program at Nebraska Wesleyan University is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).

The MSN program at Nebraska Wesleyan University is open both to nurses with an associates degree as well as nurses with a BSN. Admission to the BSN to MSN program includes graduation from a Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or National League for Nursing (NLN) accredited program with a 3.0 or higher GPA. A prerequisite course in evidence-based practice or research at the undergraduate level is also required.

The RN to MSN program accepts applications from nurses with an associates degree or diploma that graduated from an NLN accredited program. Prerequisite courses in English, Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Psychology and Sociology should be completed with a “B” or better. Prior to applying to the nursing masters program, applicants should have at least one year of career experience within the past three years as a nurse. Though, primarily an online program, students may be required to attend a weekly course in Omaha or Lincoln.
