College America was founded in 1964, and strives to help students achieve their educational goals and meet the ever changing demands in the fields of medicine, business, and graphic design. Formerly known as Control Data Institute, the college got its start as Control Data Institute, which offered specialized computer courses. When the college became part of the College America family in 1993, other programs including accounting and computer technology became a part of the program.
