The Duke University School of Nursing at offers the Accelerated BSN Program that allows students to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree after 16 months of full-time classroom and clinical work. There are 23 clinical sites in Durham and Raleigh, including hospitals, missions and retirement facilities. To qualify for this accelerated BSN degree program, the student must have already earned a bachelors degree in a field other than nursing and must have completed the following prerequisite classes: Human Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, Statistics, General Psychology, General Sociology and English Composite. The application deadline is in May for fall admission and December for spring admission.
