Nevada State College is a public college located in on a 500-acre campus in Henderson, Nevada near the base of the McCullough Mountains.  It was founded in 2002 by the Nevada legislature to fill a need for a 4-year college in the Henderson area.

Today Nevada State College enrolls over 3,000 students and offers 26 undergraduate degree programs. The School of Nursing offers a one year Accelerated Track for earning the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.  To qualify for this 2nd degree BSN program, the student must have already earned a bachelors degree in a field other than nursing and must have completed the prerequisite classes with a grade of “C-” or better in each.  The application deadlines are in January for summer entry and March for fall entry.

Roseman University of Health Sciences is a private institution located in Henderson, Nevada. It has a second campus in South Jordan, Utah as well as an online program.  Founded in 2001 as the Nevada College ofPharmacy and the University of Southern Nevada, it is now organized into 4 schools: the College of Medicine, College of Pharmacy, the Master of Business Administration Program and the College of Nursing.

The College of Nursing at Roseman University offers an Accelerated Online BSN program for earning a Bachelor of Sciences in Nursing degree in 15-months of full-time study.  This unique accelerated BSN program combines online programs for the didactic learning with clinical rotations in Las Vegas area hospitals and health clinics.  To qualify for this online ABSN (Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing) program, the student must have a bachelors degree and must have completed the prerequisite coursework prior to matriculation.  The prerequisite coursework includes:   Chemistry, Microbiology, Anatomy and Physiology I and II, Statistics, and US History and Nevada Constitution.  The application deadlines are in December for February entry, May for July entry and August for October entry.
