The College of St. Scholastica

The College of St. Scholastica was founded in 1912 by a group of Benedictine Sisters, in the Catholic Benedictine tradition.  The college was founded to provide education to a small group of young women, and has now served over 14,000 students.  The only independent private college in northeastern Minnesota, The College of St. Scholastica has been recognized by both

The Washington Post and U.S News and World Report for being among the best institutions.  Students can choose from six schools to pursue their education, School of Arts and Letters, School of Business and Technology, School of Education, School of Health Sciences, School of Nursing, and School of Sciences.  The College of St. Scholastica is so confident in its academic programs that it guarantees students who follow simple guidelines will graduate in four years or study subsequent years for free.

Online Nursing and Health Care Degrees Review

The nursing program at The College of St. Scholastica embraces the values of community, hospitality, respect, stewardship and love of learning, all of which are steeped in their Benedictine tradition.  The program is shaped by the Benedictine heritage, and focuses on nursing as a holistic profession, in which compassion and care of the healthcare provider are equally important with skill.  The program focuses on nursing as providing care to the whole person-the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual welfare of persons.  Though only one online degree program is offered, additional programs offer flexible scheduling including late afternoon, evening and weekend classes.
