Anna Maria College is a private, Catholic institution founded by the Sisters of Saint Anne in 1946.  The College offers over 55 undergraduate and graduate programs for certificates through master’s level qualifications.  Donned “the small college with a big heart” by a local newsman, the Massachusetts-based liberal arts institution has a variety of clubs, internships and study abroad opportunities for its students.

The college is a member of the Member of the 12-college Worcester Consortium; students can register for classes at other consortium colleges at no additional cost.

Online Bachelor’s Degrees in Nursing

The online Registered Nurse to Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN) Degree completion program is designed to take full advantage of career options available to nurses.  Credits towards the degree can be earned for previous coursework, national certification, and work experience.  In addition to non-major required courses in Catholic Social Teaching and Statistics, the degree requires the following course options:

  • Professional Nursing-explores issues professional issues in nursing including ethics and career planning
  • Physical Assessment and Health Promotion-uses Neuman Systems Model in completing comprehensive wellness assessments
  • Nursing Research-introductory nursing research course design to give nurses a basic understanding and grasp of the research process
  • Nursing Informatics-students explore technology-based health applications that explore clinical work
  • Pathopharmacology-develop understanding of pathophysiological and pharmacologic concepts as it relates to understanding major health issues
  • Leadership & Management –explores leadership, management styles and models
  • Public Health Nursing-focuses on providing care to the community as a client in the context of critical thinking and caring
  • Senior Seminar I-students pursue an in-depth study of a specific nursing topic explored during the course under faculty supervision
  • Senior Seminar II-students develop a project based on the Neuman Systems Model to address a community need

Duration and Cost

Tuition for the course is $1, 812 for each semester (or per 3 credit course).  A minimum of 120 credits are required to earn the bachelor’s degree qualification, up to 75 of which may be transferred.  Individual completion times vary according to the amount of credits transferred into the program, though the course may normally be completed in 2.5 years.
