Lewis University is a private, not-for-profit Catholic and Lasallian-based university in Illinois.  Founded in 1932, the university claims the distinction of being Illinois’ largest bachelor’s degree program in nursing.  Furthermore, t he University claims recent nursing students received a 100% pass rate on their exams.  Over 80 undergraduate and 25 graduate programs of study are offered throughout the university.

Nursing Administration courses include Dimensions in Healthcare Leadership, Dynamics in Healthcare Organizations, and Business Skills for Healthcare Organizations.  Nursing Education core courses include Educational Theory, Curriculum Development, and Evaluation and Teaching Methodology and delivery systems.  Students have the option of completing a practicum or thesis to culminate their degree program.  The thesis involves a formal research study conducted over two semesters.  The practicum can be a field experience or scholarly project completed over 1-2 semesters under the supervision of a site facilitator.
