Bellin College of Nursing
Bellin College of Nursing is a health sciences school located in Green Bay, Wisconsin.  Founded in 1909, it was originally called Deaconess Sanitarium Training School and offered a three-year diploma program.  By 1984 the school had phased out the diploma program and began offering the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

Today Bellin College of Nursing offers 3 options for earning the BSN degree.  The 15-Month Option is designed for students who already have the required 60 undergraduate general education credits and now wish to pursue a career in nursing.  It allows students to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree after 15 months of full-time classroom and clinical work.  To qualify for this accelerated BSN degree (ABSN) program, the student must have already earned a bachelors degree in a field other than nursing and must have completed the prerequisite classes. The application deadline is in March for June entry.

Edgewood College is a private, Catholic institution located in Madison, Wisconsin.  Founded in 1927, it was originally a women’s 2-year college known as Edgewood Junior College.  It now offers over 100 academic programs and enrolls over 2,500 men and women. The School of Nursing’s Post-Baccalaureate BSN program is designed for students who have already earned a non-nursing bachelors degree.  This BSN 2nd degree program allows students to earn a BSN degree after 12 months of full-time classroom and clinical work.  Clinical experiences take place at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics, The American Family Children’s Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center, the Veteran’s Administration Hospital and more than 25 other healthcare facilities in Dane county.  To qualify for this accelerated BSN degree program, the student must also have completed the following prerequisite classes:  College-level Statistics, General Psychology, Lifespan Development,  Religious Studies, a Foreign Language, Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology I  and II, and Microbiology.  The application deadlines are in January and June.

The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh is a public institution located on a 173-acre campus in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.  Founded in 1871, it was originally called Oshkosh State Normal School, a teacher’s college. Today it is organized into 4 colleges and enrolls over 13,000 graduate and undergraduate students. The College of Nursing offers three options for earning the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. The Accelerated Online Bachelor’s to BSN Program allows students to earn a BSN degree after 12 months. Theory classes are held online, while clinicals are held at healthcare facilities in the student’s community and are supervised by College of Nursing staff. To qualify for this innovative accelerated BSN degree program, the student must have already earned a bachelors degree in a field other than nursing and must have completed the 12 prerequisite classes.
