STNA Training Programs In Ohio

The first thing you should know, when you start your search for CNA training in Ohio, is that in the state, a CNA is also known as an STNA (State Tested Nurses Aides).

Training programs are approved by the Ohio Department of Health. They’re offered by a variety of training providers throughout the state. Courses are offered by colleges and schools, as well as hospitals and nursing homes, but it’s important to ensure that wherever you train, the program you choose is accredited.

What Does CNA or STNA Training in Ohio Comprise?

State approved training courses for nurses aides in Ohio must comprise a minimum of 75 hours of both practical and clinical training. The course covers everything from the very basics of patient care, like feeding and bathing, to more advanced medical concepts and terminology.

All clinical training must be supervised by a medical professional, and the course syllabus must adhere to the state’s guidelines.

Reimbursement for STNA or CNA Training in Ohio

The average salary for a certified nurses aide in the state is about $24,000, although that will depend on where you work, and your skill and experience level.
