OCN of the Year Award
The Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Foundation offers the OCN (Oncology Certified Nurses) of the Year Award to honor the OCN who had made a significant impact on oncology nursing and who has supported oncology nursing certification.

ONS is a professional organization of nurses and other healthcare providers who are committed to patient care, research and education in oncology nursing.  The eligible candidate must be an OCN-certified, licensed registered nurse who has demonstrated a commitment to oncology practice and oncology certification.

Award:  $1000 and a crystal award

Octavia N. McKinley Scholarship
The Shawnee State University offers the Octavia N. McKinley Scholarship to assist graduates of Valley or Northwest High School in pursuing health-related careers by providing financial support.   The eligible candidate must be a graduate of Valley or Northwest High School who will enroll as a full-time student at Shawnee State University in the nursing, occupational therapy or physical therapist assistant program.  Preference is given to students entering the nursing program.  Selection is based on academic achievement and financial need.

Odd Fellows and Rebekahs Ellen F. Washburn Nurses Training Award
The Odd Fellows and Rebekahs offers the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs Ellen F. Washburn Nurses Training Award.  The Award was established in 1956 to help relieve the shortage of nurses in the Gorham, Maine area.  It was later renamed to honor Ellen F. Washburn.  The eligible candidate must be enrolled in an accredited college, university or nursing school in the state of Maine, planning to become a registered nurse.

Ohio National Guard Scholarship
The Ohio National Guard offers the Ohio National Guard Scholarship to encourage citizens of Ohio to both complete higher education and provide military service to the state of Ohio and the United States when called upon by the President.  The eligible candidate must be a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior enrolled in a public college or university in the state of Ohio.  Candidates must agree to complete a 6-year enlistment in the Ohio National Guard.  If the candidate fails to fulfill the enlistment commitment, the scholarship funds will have to be repaid.

Award:  $1568 per quarter; renewable

Oliver Kent Cecil Endowed Nursing Scholarship
Clemson University offers the Oliver Kent Cecil Endowed Nursing Scholarship to encourage residents of South Carolina to pursue careers in nursing.  The Scholarship was established to honor the late Oliver Kent Cecil, an alumnus of Clemson University, who was a generous supporter of the nursing program at Clemson.  The eligible candidate must be enrolled in the nursing program at Clemson University. The candidate must also be a resident of South Carolina and have a GPA of at least 2.5.

Oncology Nursing Society Grant
The Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing offers the Oncology Nursing Society Grant to stimulate clinically related oncology nursing research.  The eligible candidate must be a registered nurse who is actively involved in cancer patient care, research or education, and must have a research project ready to begin immediately upon receipt of funds.   The candidate must also have earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree.  Preference is given to members of Sigma Theta Tau International.

Award:  $10,000
