Nevada Nursing Schools

There are 10 accredited nursing schools in Nevada that are in our database.

Nevada has some very highly populated urban areas, but there still aren’t many nursing schools available in the desert. As a result, Nevada had ended up in a position where the state is suffering a nursing shortage, just like the rest of the U.S. Fortunately, though Nevada only has nine nursing schools for prospective students to choose from, those students can take their pick from nursing programs, from associate’s to doctorate degrees and everything in between.

Though large hospitals in urban areas tend to attract the most nursing graduates, areas like Reno and Las Vegas have been some of the most affected by the nursing shortage. This is bad news for hospitals and patients in those areas, but good news for nursing students- urban hospitals are usually the ones prepared to offer incentives like generous sign-on bonuses to new hires.
